Recently Completed: HP, Inc.

Interior photographs of the recently completed HP, Inc. campus, designed in conjunction with PDR.

G2LD collaborated with PDR on this 378,000 sq. ft. campus, which based its design around the physical and emotional health of its 2,300 employees. This forward-thinking project was the physical reflection of a culture shift as HPI separated from HP Enterprises as it sought to increase communication and collaboration between its 52 business units. Lighitng was chosen to help in defining different areas as well as wayfinding throughout the extensive campus. On the Boards: Southern Downtown Park

Night rendering of the proposed Lawn, Trellis, and Restaurant for the new Southern Downtown Park. Landscape Archtitecture by Lauren Griffith and Associates with Architecture by Gensler.

We love working on projects that help change our city for the better. G2LD is very pleased to be a part of this much needed community park in southern downtown, designed by Lauren Griffith and Associates and spearheaded by the Downtown Redevelopment Authority. Amenities on the one acre site will include a fast-casual restaurant, designed by Gensler, a lawn and stage area, a bicycle repair station, bike trail connections, play area, rotating art installations, several garden areas, and a dog park. The lush park will replace an existing parking lot and is expected to be complete in Spring 2021. To learn about similar projects, click here.

Recently Completed: Wreath of Honor

Wreath of Honor, a memorial for the Fallen Five was recently completed in conjunction with Re:Site Studio and MetaLab.

G2LD was pleased to work with Re:site and MetaLab on this moving 'Wreath of Honor' - a tribute to the Fallen Five that were killed in Chatanooga, Tennessee in 2015. The five limestone pillars are each engraved with biographical information about one of the victims. The wreath seemingly floats above with the words and tributes from the community cut into the brass and steel bands. Both for effect from a distance and so that the words could be discerned by evening visitors, it was important that the columns and wreath be beautifully illuminated while making minimal intrusion into the form of the memorial itself. Lighting Bloopers

It’s a hazard of the job - we can’t go anywhere without analyzing the lighting. We’ve seen it all - the good, the bad, the ugly, and the so-bad-it’s-hilarious. So we’ve devised this column to share some of the funniest lighting mishaps.

Some bloopers require a more trained eye to understand the mistake being made. And some are self expanatory.
We're just not sure why anyone thought this was ok. As one seasoned designer said 'This hurts my eyes'.

If you come across a spectacular (or just embarrassing) lighting blooper,  please send it to us at  sarah@G2LD.com
We're always looking for a good laugh...
Would you like a copy of our portfolio? Interested in an introductory meeting?

We welcome the chance to tell you more about how we can add value to your project
