expected completion

After damage from Hurricane Ike and significant drought, along with other urban and ecological challenges, The Memorial Park Conservancy, Houston Parks and Recreation Department and Uptown-Houston, are leading an effort to restore and revitalize Memorial Park through a long-range master planning effort. In addition to conservation issues, Memorial Park was suffering from aging infrastructure and increased population usage. New lighting is a crucial part of making the park both safe for users throughout the day and helping define one of Houston's most prized ecological assets as a noteworthy recreational destination.
